Facials in Vancouver, WA

Facials

Facials are a way to treat your skin with products and processes that you can’t have at home with your regular skincare routine. At Venus Rising Med Spa, we offer a wide range of facials to our patients in Vancouver, WA, that can help boost your skin regardless of your skin type or individual concerns.

From in-depth consultations to meticulously crafted aesthetics enhancement plans, our focus is always on making sure our patients are receiving the right treatments for them. Our facials range from exfoliating treatments like microdermabrasion and chemical peels to advanced rejuvenating treatments like microneedling and IPL.

What Is a Facial?

A facial is a skincare treatment that deeply cleanses, exfoliates, or rejuvenates the skin, focusing on the face and neck areas. It employs a combination of products, massage techniques, and equipment to exfoliate dead skin cells, extract impurities, nourish, and hydrate. While the primary aim is to promote clearer and more hydrated skin, our facials also offer a therapeutic touch to enhance overall skin health.

Many practices offer spa facials, but they don’t have the options that we do. We offer facial treatments for all skin types, and our sessions last for an hour or more. Each session has a carefully mapped-out routine that’s guaranteed to offer you the best results possible. We usually start with a relaxing cleanse complete with a hot towel wrap so that you’ll have refreshed skin and open pores for the remainder of the session.

After the cleanse, we’ll use steam and exfoliation to clean out your pores and even out the skin. We then introduce antibacterial, anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, and deep-moisturizing treatments, depending on the type of facial you choose and your unique skin needs. Patients can enjoy monthly facial treatments when they become members of our exclusive Radiance Club.

  • They Provide Relaxation: A facial not only cleanses your skin but also offers a soothing experience that reduces stress. This relaxation extends beyond the skin to include benefits for your overall well-being.
  • They Offer Anti-Aging Benefits: As we age, our skin requires more care to maintain its youthfulness. A non-surgical facial rejuvenation treatment can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, supporting a more youthful complexion without the need for invasive procedures.
  • They Give Skin an Even Tone and Texture: Imperfections like scars, uneven pigmentation, and rough textures can be addressed through a facial rejuvenation treatment. Regular sessions can help refine your skin’s texture and improve its overall tone.
  • They Hydrate Dry Skin: Especially beneficial in drier climates or seasons, a facial treatment is perfect for replenishing lost moisture and nourishing the skin for a more balanced complexion.
  • They Give Your Skin a Glow: Regular facials remove dead skin cells and boost cell regeneration. This process not only detoxifies the skin but also enhances its natural luminosity.
  • They Relieve Pressure in the Sinuses: Facials often include a massage component that can help relieve built-up pressure in the sinuses, offering a non-medical relief option during allergy season or other times of sinus discomfort.
  • They Promote Increased Circulation: The massage techniques used in various types of facials stimulate blood flow, which can enhance the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to skin cells. Improved circulation helps skin look healthy and vibrant.
  • They Relieve TMJ Disorder Symptoms: The gentle massage during a facial can also extend to the jaw area, providing relief for those who suffer from TMJ disorders. This can reduce pain and ease muscle tension in the face and jaw.

What Are the Different Types of Facials?

This is our most popular facial, as it aims to give patients exactly what they need regardless of their skin type. No two custom facial treatments are the same, just as no two faces are the same. This treatment celebrates your uniqueness. The first thing we do for this treatment is give you an assessment to see what your skin type is. Generally speaking, there are five skin types: normal, sensitive, oily, dry, and a combination of oily and dry.

Once we determine your skin type, we’ll work with you to come up with a treatment session plan that will benefit you the most. Our custom treatment includes hydration, our Epionce Skin Care package, and vitamins. We’ll start traditionally with the double cleanse and a hot towel and then move on to using antibacterial steam for your pores. After this, we’ll perform a deep massage over the lymph nodes to drain them and eradicate any swelling.

Once the draining is complete, we’ll introduce a botanical exfoliating treatment that extracts dirt by lifting dead skin. Our next step is to add a firming treatment to your skin and a multivitamin serum with anti-aging properties. This multivitamin targets beneath the skin’s outer layers to encourage elevated collagen production and refresh the skin’s elastin to diminish wrinkles. We’ll end the session with an anti-inflammatory, deep-moisturizing treatment for a satisfying, glowing finish. Our treatment also uses red/blue light therapy.

  • Customized Anti-Aging Facial: This facial is specifically tailored to address signs of aging such as fine lines, wrinkles, and loss of skin elasticity. Leveraging specialized products and techniques, it aims to rejuvenate and firm the skin, giving it a more youthful appearance.
  • Customized Anti-Acne Facial: Designed for those experiencing breakouts, this facial focuses on deep cleansing, exfoliation, and targeted treatments to combat acne. It can help reduce inflammation, minimize pores, and prevent future breakouts.

This treatment is even longer than our typical facial sessions and is a great option for those with more moderate to severe conditions. The point of a microdermabrasion treatment session is to carefully scrape away the topmost layer of the epidermis using a rough-surfaced instrument. The treatment is done in a specified way to ensure the patient feels no pain or discomfort during the session.

For the initial assessment portion of this treatment, we collect 3D imaging of your face to determine your skin type as well as what your skin needs. We offer additional treatments along with the microderm facial to enhance the improvements you’ll receive from the service. One of our favorites is Ozone antibacterial pore declogging. This mechanical extraction process removes dead skin, dirt, and excess oils from the skin.

This treatment uses an abrasive instrument to gently scrape the top layer of the skin for the purpose of stimulating and renewing the outer skin layer. Patients might seek out this treatment if they’re looking to even out their skin’s texture, eradicate bumps and imperfections, or turn back the clock on past skin damage.

You are an excellent candidate for this treatment if you desire smoother skin with fewer wrinkles or want to improve the appearance of stretch marks. This treatment is also ideal for those with hyperpigmentation or age spots, acne such as blackheads, large pores, a dull complexion, melasma, sun exposure damage, and any sort of uneven tone or roughness on the skin.

This type of treatment is not as commonly known, but those who recognize the name typically understand that the treatment is a gentle scraping of the topmost layer of the skin. Because of this, many people consider microderm treatments to have no other purpose than smoothing out the surface of the skin. This couldn’t be further from the truth, as microderm treatments can also:

  • Offer deeper exfoliation to target deeper imperfections
  • Diminish deep lines and wrinkles
  • Improve acne and reduce the formation of comedones
  • Reduce oil production in oily skin types
  • Shrink pores

Elevate your skincare regime with our range of chemical peels. We offer Epionce® peels, from their gentle Refresh Peel suitable for all skin types to their more intense Salicylic Corrective Peel, designed especially for acne-prone skin. These types of facials are designed to improve skin texture, tone, and clarity.

The facial treatment begins by cleansing the skin, followed by the application of the chosen peel. Depending on the type of peel and individual skin needs, it might tingle or feel warm. After a pre-specified amount of time, the peel is neutralized and removed, revealing brighter and more refreshed skin.

With the integration of cutting-edge tools like SkinPen® and Morpheus8, our microneedling facial aims to stimulate collagen production and enhance skin elasticity, offering the promise of facial rejuvenation.

During a microneedling treatment, we often start by applying a numbing cream to reduce sensation in the treatment area. Then the microneedling device is used to create microchannels in the skin. The treatment doesn’t hurt, but it does prompt a healing response in your body, which can lead to improved skin texture and a more glowing and youthful appearance.

Amplifying the benefits of a standard microneedling facial, the addition of PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) can improve your results. The PRF, taken from your own blood, can either be injected or applied topically.

Starting with a regular microneedling treatment, PRF is injected into the skin or used topically.  This facial rejuvenation treatment accelerates healing and improves skin texture by delivering natural growth factors, stimulating collagen synthesis, and regenerating tissues.

Using the Lumecca skin rejuvenation device, our intense pulsed light (IPL) photofacials target skin imperfections with different wavelengths of light, treating pigmentation concerns and sun damage so that your skin feels revitalized and looks its best.

Beginning with a skin cleanse, the Lumecca device is then maneuvered over the skin, emitting light pulses. These pulses penetrate the skin layers, targeting red and brown pigmentations and promoting non-surgical facial rejuvenation.

A Few FAQs About Our Facials

The frequency of a facial largely depends on your skin type, concerns, and goals. Generally, we recommend scheduling a facial every four to six weeks to align with the skin’s natural regeneration cycle. Maintaining this routine can help sustain the glow and health of your complexion.

To maximize the benefits of your facial rejuvenation treatment, arrive with a clean face free of makeup. Avoiding excessive sun exposure and not exfoliating your skin for at least three days before your treatment will also help prevent any undue sensitivity or irritation.

The results from a non-surgical facial rejuvenation can vary based on the specific treatments used and individual skin types. Typically, the visible improvements from your facial can last anywhere from four to six weeks. Following a recommended home-care regimen can extend these effects.

There is no downtime required after many facial treatments, and you will even be sporting an immediate glow with certain treatments. With others, such as microneedling or chemical peels, you may have some redness and sensitivity. With any facial treatment, you will want to keep the skin protected from direct sunlight, and you may want to stay away from heavy makeup for at least 24 hours after the treatment to maximize results.

After receiving one of our types of facials, it’s beneficial to hydrate your skin adequately and use gentle skincare products. We recommend using a high-SPF sunscreen daily to protect the fresh skin layers that have been revealed. Avoiding harsh chemical treatments for a couple of weeks will also help maintain your facial benefits.
